The National Symphony Youth Orchestra (NSYO), established in 2023, has nurtured many outstanding young musicians in Taiwan and received widespread acclaim since its debut concerts in July of the same year. In the summer of 2025, NSYO, under the direction of NSO Music Director Jun Märkl, will present a captivating program featuring Richard Strauss’s Don Juan. The orchestra will also collaborate with internationally renowned pianist Dmitry Shishkin to perform Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Major, Op. 26. The concert will conclude with selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suites No. 1 & 2, bringing the evening to a brilliant close in Taipei, Miaoli, and Kaohsiung, the young musicians of NSYO will also travel to Japan, showcasing their immense talent on a global stage. This combination of masters, masterpieces, and virtuosity promises a truly memorable experience for all audiences.
