Pi-Tzu Yang is the percussionist of the National Symphony Orchestra, and teaches at the graduate schools of Soochow University, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Culture University as an assistant professor.

She is a spokesperson for Yamaha.

She has won the German DAAD scholarship and the National Theater and Concert Hall Newcomer Award. The German media commented:

Pi-tzu Yang graduated with full marks from the Musik Hochschule Detmold in 2007, obtaining the highest soloist diploma. She studied under Peter Prommel, Marinus Kommst, and Jan Wissink.
