Chen graduated from the Conservatoire Régional de Rueil-Malmaison in France. He won the Best Religious Music Performance Album at the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Taiwan Trumpet Association. He is an adjunct associate professor at National Taipei University of Education, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Chinese Culture University.
