Shu-Ting Yang

Shu-Ting Yang

Shu-Ting Yang received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from National Taiwan Normal University and studied under Professors Ting-hong Liu and Jui-chi Chang.

She has won second prize in the Taiwan National Oboe Competition’s youth solo category, and first prize in the NTNU wind concerto competition. She has received guidance from masters such as Françis Leleux and Pierre W. Feit.

In 1999 and 2000, she performed with the Asian Youth Orchestra, touring North America, Asia, and Australia, and performed at the Sydney Olympic Arts Festival. She was the principal oboist in 2000. In 2003, she performed Lille B. Söderlundh’s Oboe Concertino with the NTNU Symphony Orchestra. In 2005, she was invited by the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra to perform Mozart’s Oboe Concerto in C Major. She has been with the National Symphony Orchestra since 2006.
