Chen graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts and studied under Nancy Tsing. She was the concertmaster of the school orchestra. She later went to Conservatoire National de Région-Rueil-Malmaison in France to obtain a diploma in performance and chamber music and studied under Mr. Guy Comentale.

She has received guidance from masters such as Midori Goto, Nai-Yuan Hu, Devy Erlih, and G.Poulet.

She has held many recitals and chamber music concerts and has frequently been invited as Concertmaster in the Eurasia Chamber Orchestra. She was a member of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and is currently the first violin assistant principal of the National Symphony Orchestra.
