Cheng-Mei Sun

Ms. Sun earned her Master of Music from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) under Professor Jacob Krackmalnick and Professor Paul Kantor. During her studies, she also trained at Indiana University’s renowned Jacobs School of Music under Maestro Franco Gulli.

Ms. Sun received scholarships from the University of Michigan, Grand Teton Orchestral Seminar, and Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute. She won the ICRT Young Star Award and was honored with the National Theater & Concert Hall Rising Star Award.

She was a first violin member of the Marin Symphony Orchestra and guest concertmaster for the Taipei Opera Theatre and Contemporary Chamber Orchestra of Taipei. She has written for performing arts magazines, co-translated The Vision of Caliban by Jane Goodall and Dale Peterson with her late husband, Dr. Sheng-Hai Wu, and completed a law program at National Taiwan University’s School of Professional Education and Continuing Studies.
