Yu-Fei Lin graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts and studied under Man-Nong Fan. She later went to the University of Music Saar in Germany, where she earned her Master's degree and Flute Soloist Diploma, studying with Prof. Gaby Pas-Van Riet, and Piccolo flute with Birgit Engelhardt.

She has won the second prize at the International Flute Competition Ferdinand W. Neess in 2022 (Wiesbaden, Germany), the second prize at the Hong Kong International Flute Competition in 2019, the second prize at the Dutch International Flute Competition in 2017 (Netherlands) and the first prize at the Taiwan Flute Competition in 2015.

She has been invited to perform as a soloist at the 6th Taiwan International Flute Festival series concerts. She has performed as an assist flute player with the Mannheimer Philharmoniker (Germany), Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan), and Guiyang Symphony Orchestra (China). She plays currently 2. 3. 4.Flute/Piccolo Solo at the National Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan.
