Yang holds a master’s degree from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen, where she studied with Szabolcs Zempléni. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the National Taipei University of the Arts, studying with Yen-How Chen and Steven Chuang. During her time in Germany, she interned at Hagen Theater and the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, and was frequently invited to perform with the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen and the Balinger Kammerorchester. She participated in numerous public masterclasses during her studies, receiving guidance from distinguished artists such as Christian-Friedrich Dallmann, Christian Lampert, Jörg Brückner, Samuel Seidenberg, Premysl Vojta, Christoph Ess, Froydis Ree Wekre, Radek Baborak, and Denise Tryon.
