Music Lab' s Outreach Program is focused on bringing music into the community to be closer to the elderly and people with dementia. This includes different programs in elderly daycare centers, senior centers, and with diverse participants from different ethnic backgrounds across Taiwan. The Outreach Program has grown over time, since the first program in 2021.

The initial program in 2021 was a collaboration with Pingtung County in southern Taiwan. The NSO selected a handful of graduands of the Moments with Music 'Care' Workshop to run a program at a senior center in Zhutian Village, culminating in a concert performance by all participants at the Pingtung Performing Arts Center. The concert included a new composition by a Japanese composer, specially commissioned with the elderly performers in mind. 

Since then, the outreach programs have continued to break new ground. For example, in 2023, one Outreach Program activity brought together elderly Taiwanese from different ethnic backgrounds to use instruments and technology (the Music Lab app) to perform a concert in Yunlin County. 

Since 2021, the Moments with Music Outreach Program has been run more than 56 times, with 1,500 elderly attendees taking part.
