(NSO) is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following vacancy:

Application:
Please mail the following documents to the National Symphony Orchestra a.k.a Taiwan Philharmonic
(21-1, Chung-Shan South Road, Taipei 100012, Taiwan.) during November 12, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
- Application Form
- Copy of educational qualifications
- An Electronic Letter of Recommendation by a full-time musician from professional orchestras in the last two years
- Copy of Passport
- Personal Information Consent Form
Audition Date:
Principal Percussion: 9:00 a.m., January 19, 2026.
Principal Double Bass: 9:00 a.m., January 20, 2026.
Violia Tutti: 9:00 a.m., January 21, 2026.
No video audition will be accepted.
Applicants will receive all necessary audition information by email prior to January 13, 2026.
Audition Location:
NSO Rehearsal Room, 3rd Floor, National Concert Hall (Address: No. 21-1, Chung-Shan South Road, Taipei 100012, Taiwan.)
Process:
Multiple rounds of auditions will be held.
In addition to the auditions, the finalist(s) will be required to play concert with the NSO including rehearsals and performance in 2025/2026 Season.
Audition Program:
a. Solo
If piano accompaniment is needed, please bring your own.
b. Orchestral Excerpts
c. Sight Reading
d. Concerts (for finalists)
For the finalists who currently live abroad, the orchestra will pay for the round-trip economy air tickets and accommodation for coming to Taiwan.
The winner of the audition will be expected to be on board within the offer notice.
A basic physical examination report issued by a municipal hospital is required.
